Blogger is a weblog publishing system owned by Google and enables bloggers to host their blogs on Blogger's own servers or on a server of the blogger's choosing.

LiveJournal is a simple-to-use communication tool that lets you express yourself and connect with friends online. You can use LiveJournal in many different ways: as a private journal, a blog, a social network and much more. LJ is built on open source software.

MySpace is a social networking website offering an interactive network of blogs, user profiles, groups, photos and an internal e-mail system.

Tripod.com is a webhosting service owned by Lycos. It offers a variety of free and paid webhosting services, including 20 megabytes of web space. In addition to basic hosting, Tripod also offers a blogging tool, a photo album and manager, and the Trellix SiteBuilder for WYSIWYG page editing.

Yahoo! Geocities
Yahoo! GeoCities offers you a free web site and all the tools you need to build a dynamic site. Features include easy-to-use site building tools, online help, web site statistics, secure and reliable hosting, and an intuitive control panel.

Yahoo! 360
Yahoo! 360 is a personal communication portal similar to Friendster and MySpace. It integrates features of social networking, blogging, and photo sharing sites. A user may create a personal web site, share their photos from Yahoo! Photos, maintain a blog, a list of local reviews, and profile information.

Yahoo! Groups
Yahoo! Groups is a free service that allows you to bring together family, friends, and associates through a web site and email group. Yahoo! Groups offer a convenient way to connect with others who share the same interests and ideas.

InvisionFree is a free service that provides online communities. While similar to a Chat Room or an Instant Messenger, InvisionFree can be used for long term discussions with large groups of people including friends, clubs, and businesses. InvisionFree could be used to talk about your favorite sport or even a general chat area where people can talk about whatever they want. Not only does InvisionFree provide the best possible environment for online communities, but it is also easy to set up and manage.
