"...a remarkable and highly rewarding book. It is rational, objective, interesting, relevant, and meaningful...In his philosophical discussions, Mr. Pandit unravels the genius and vision of Hinduism, enhanced by a rational, scientific, and truly moral sensibility that is distinctly unique to Hinduism."

T.K. Venkateswaran

"It is well-written, informative, and timely, considering there is no other book available at that level where Hindu Americans can get answers to different questions about their religion and heritage."

Subhash Kak
Professor, Louisiana State University

"The Hindu Mind provides an excellent introduction to the historical, philosophical, ritualistic, social, and ethical dimensions of Hinduism. The major contribution of the book is that it shows the interconnections among these diverse dimensions.--†â€™Ãƒâ€ Ã¢â‚¬â„¢--¢â‚'ƒâ€šÃ‚¢--†â€™Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¢'‚'‚¬Ã…¡--¢â‚'ƒâ€šÃ‚¬?

Rajeshwari V. Pandharipande
Associate Professor, Program for the Study of Religion and Department of Linguistics, University of Illinois, Urbana

"...an interesting and useful book. I think everyone--Hindu and non-Hindu--can benefit by reading this well-written book. Though there are many other books on Hinduism, most of them are not very suitable for study by Hindu people living outside India and by non-Hindu readers interested in knowing the essential aspects of Hinduism. It is required reading for all Hindus of all ages."

Swami Brahmarupananda
Vivekananda Vedanta Society, Chicago

"...The Hindu Mind is unique in a number of ways. It is beautifully produced, its approach is direct, clear and cogent; tables and figures make it authentic and easy to understand. This is one of the best books that provides the present generation, especially the young and elite, with the genuine fundamental concepts of Hinduism."

C. L. Shastri
Former Professor of Sanskrit and Comparative Religions,
University of Gujarat, India.

"Bansi Pandit provides a well-crafted and complete overview of the fundamental concepts of Hinduism. This work is an invaluable resource."

Hinduism Today, U.S.A.

"...lucidly explains Hinduism in a nutshell. The handy volume has answers to a number of questions on wide-ranging issues...Each chapter is complete in itself, including highly informative tables and figures and providing cross-references...."

News India, U.S.A.

"[The author] turns the incomprehensible labyrinth of metaphor and allegory in the Vedic tradition into simple language. Whether for the pleasure for learning or a better understanding of what it means to be a Hindu, this book is immense and equal. This book is an elixir, a cathartic, and an opiate simultaneously...."

Spotlight, News Journal, Illinois

"As a husband and father of two children, I have found The Hindu Mind to be an extraordinary book that my entire family can read, comprehend, and follow. This book has taught me how I can reset goals and priorities in order to attain harmony of the body, mind, and the spirit in performing my daily activities. At the same time, this book provides the children the fundamental knowledge of Hinduism that will help them to continue the Hindu way of life in the U.S.A."
