BOOK SYNOPSIS
This is the inspiring, heartwarming story of a young raven who believes there is more to life than eating and playing, but faces obstacles at every turn as he seeks to understand and realize his life's true purpose. The book is also an invitation to step outside our busy world and experience the serenity of Now--the simple joy of Being.
As we follow Joshua's adventures in this charming fable, we realize that the answer to our difficulties is never far away, but is found in the quietness of our own heart. Christopher Foster paints a vivid portrait of a hero's journey as step by step a sensitive, vulnerable, but determined raven follows his destiny and becomes a friend and ally to humankind.

BOOK EXCERPTS
It was cool in the dark green forest, and it was also quiet. One of those great firs exuded a palpable quietness and calm. But there were hundreds, the same sublime pulse at work in each, and so they created, from their agreement and resonance, a field in which peace was constantly being brought forth and multiplied.
Just as the sun shines upon everyone, good or bad, worhty or unworthy, so is it with the forest. It is a temple, a temple of peace, and it offers its gift of serenity to all who enter its presence.

Thus the fir trees, as they communed together, welcomed Joshua into their midst, and were unmoved and untroubled by the turmoil in his heart.

He was just another unhappy creature in need of solace.
As he alighted on a boulder beside a wide, rippling stream, Joshua churned with despair and self-recrimination.
