Manette Gerstle loved rocks from her first taste as a baby. When she grew up, they decorated her life and drew her to the Japanese art of suiseki. By the start of the twenty-first century, Chinese gongshi and Korean suseok had arrived to dazzle the West and join suiseki and Western viewing stone arts. This momentous development inspired Manette to create Beyond Suiseki: Ancient Asian Viewing Stones Of The 21st Century. Manette's education in Fine Arts, Humanities, and Law led to a non-profit teaching career.
