Once upon a time there was this woman, and she had a bunch of kids (actually there were only four of them, but sometimes it seemed like a bunch).  A long time ago, she decided to keep them home instead of sending them to school, and the road that she started on then has crossed with this blog. 

 And here she is.  Or rather, here I am.  My name is Marie, and I going to be the blogger here.  My children (whose names I think I’ll keep out of this for now) are 20, 17, 13 and 6.  One’s a college junior and one’s in the first grade.  The others are in between.  They are currently studying everything from calculus to beginning phonics. 

Over the course of time, what I hope is that I’ll be able to explain why I decided to homeschool my children, how we do it and what we do in our spare time.  I hope that it’ll be fun for you all, and I’m thinking that it’ll be fun for me.

So, welcome to our world!
