It was the White Rabbit, trotting slowly back again, and looking anxiously about as it went, as if it had lost something; and she heard it muttering to itself 'The Duchess! The Duchess! Oh my dear paws! Oh my fur and whiskers! She'll get me executed, as sure as ferrets are ferrets! Where CAN I have dropped them, I wonder?' Alice guessed in a moment that it was looking for the fan and the pair of white kid gloves, and she very good-naturedly began hunting about for them, but they were nowhere to be seen—everything seemed to have changed since her swim in the pool, and the great hall, with the glass table and the little door, had vanished completely.

They were indeed a queer-looking party that assembled on the bank—the birds with draggled feathers, the animals with their fur clinging close to them, and all dripping wet, cross, and uncomfortable.

ONCE upon a time there was a poor boy whom everybody called Yanechek. His father and mother were dead and he was forced to start out alone in the world to make a living. For a long time he could find nothing to do. He wandered on and on and at last he came to a little house that stood by itself near the edge of the woods. An old man sat on the doorstep and Yanechek could see that he was blind, for there were empty holes where his eyes used to be.

We are currently experiencing a resurgance of Zombie-fiction.  Everything from movies to novels to comics have become inundated with reference to the Undead.  Just think back to the number of Zombie films being made, or remade, in the past 10 years...

Part one of a series of articles focusing on Zombie Fiction.

There's a wide varitey of websites on the interwebs devoted purely to Zombies, Zombie Hunters, Zombie Survivalists, and more I'm sure.  If we could visualize the virtual world into something more tangible, say a map, there would be an entire nation devoted tho those who are fascinated by Zombie culture.

I wanted to feature a few more novels before I ended the Zombie Fiction Overload series, partly because they've recently been added to my personal "wish list" and partly because I didn't feel as if the series was really complete until I had at least mentioned some of these.
